2nd October 2024Your role as a company director and changes to UK company law

A company director needs to understand that their role comes with duties and responsibilities. As well as the day to day running of a company, directors need to keep company records up-to-date and make sure information is filed on time.

With the introduction of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, directors also need to be aware of new requirements and keep up to date with changes to UK company law.

Companies House is encouraging directors to use their guidance, tools and services to find out more about the new measures, what they need to do now and how they can prepare for future changes. By staying informed, directors can make sure they continue to run their business well and stay compliant.
