Our first Virtual Charity Trustee Roundtable for 2025 is on the topical subject of Cyber. We are really fortunate to have secured Paul Chichester as our speaker; he is Director Operations of the National Cyber Security Centre. He has worked in the UK government intelligence and security community for over 25 years in a variety of offensive and defensive cyber roles. Paul was awarded the MBE in 2005 for his ground-breaking work in cyber, and the CMG in the King’s Birthday Honours in 2024. Paul will discuss the general threats that organisations face in the evolving cyber landscape especially in light of the British Library Cyber Attack. He will highlight the importance of board-level involvement in making informed cyber security decisions enabling boards to not only protect their organisation, but to also exploit the opportunities that technology brings.
Our sessions are for small groups of those in key governance positions at charities eg Honorary Treasurers, Chairs of Audit, Finance and Risk Committees enabling you all to share thoughts and experiences on topical issues. The virtual roundtable is on 5 February 2025 at 9.00am until 10.30am.
