As Head of Tax, I am the Partner ultimately responsible for the delivery of tax services across HW Fisher. I run a significant portfolio advising high profile HNWIs, Entrepreneurs and Family Offices in both the UK and overseas.
I advise clients with domicile / residence issues, on restructuring and transactions, as well as assisting them with property structuring and capital taxes planning.
I spend significant time annually in Asia looking after clients who seek to invest into the UK and advise on property and business structuring. I lecture regularly on taxation issues affecting overseas investors looking to invest in UK real estate and businesses.
I also speak fluent German.
I head up the Hospitality team and have a wealth of experience in advising restaurants, hotels private members’ clubs and luxury brands around London’s West End and Mayfair.
I joined HW Fisher in 1994 and became a partner in 1996.
As well as audit and tax compliance work, I advise a number of my clients on strategic planning, structuring and general business advice.
I advise a large number of businesses and Family Offices based overseas in North America, Europe Middle East and Africa who invest into UK businesses and property.
Where a new business is being established in the UK, I provide structuring advice assistance which include company registrations, setting up accounting and payroll systems.
I am head of HW Fisher’s corporate tax and VAT division. I work with entrepreneurs and privately-run businesses, helping them structure their business in the most tax efficient way possible.
When working with clients, my aim is to provide sound commercial business advice, while looking to minimise the tax liabilities that they face.
I work with a variety of businesses, although my main focus is on the technology, property and retail sectors.
My specialisms include tax structuring, merger and acquisition advice, as well as due diligence and consulting advice in areas such as R&D tax relief and the Enterprise Investment Scheme.
I am also an expert at advising overseas companies that are keen to invest in the UK and have assisted countless businesses to successfully establish themselves here.
I have over 20 years’ experience in corporate tax having joined Grant Thornton as a trainee in 1997. I joined HW Fisher as a partner in 2012.
I act for individuals and international businesses. My portfolio covers a wide mix of clients, including a number of the firm’s ultra high net-worth individuals. I advise them on all aspects of UK income tax, capital gains and inheritance tax.
I advise extensively on residency and domicile matters, including the remittance basis of taxation, pre and post arrival planning, the Statutory Residence Test, Overseas Workday Relief, double taxation issues and the interaction of UK and overseas tax jurisdictions.
I also advise businesses setting up in the UK including advising on secondment, remuneration structuring, incentive plans and employee related matters.
I am CEO of HW Fisher Business Solutions, the business support arm of HW Fisher. Specialists in providing back office and CFO services, HW Fisher Business Solutions works with a wide range of clients, from start-ups to established businesses across many industries and service sectors.
I am a qualified Chartered Accountant, providing business and financial consultancy to a range of corporations. I offer a flexible solution to managing corporate finances, which is tailored to suit each client’s needs.
As a Chief Financial Officer, I have demonstrated my strategic and commercial skills at Group Board level and have a proven track record in the review of acquisition targets, due diligence and business integration, as well as providing a hands-on approach to assess the broader strategic issues.
I have held senior financial positions in both private and public companies, including Harvey Nash Group plc, the specialist recruitment services provider. I was Finance Director of the Group’s UK & US Operations for three years and, prior to that, Finance Director of UK Operations.
I have worked with many businesses over the last 10 years, helping businesses through various stages of their business life cycle. As CFO and Board Member I was instrumental in the sale of a number of owner managed businesses.
I lead our indirect taxation team and specialise in not only VAT but also duty matters.
I began my career with Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise before moving into positions within UK Top 40 accountancy firms, and have been operating at Partner level for over 15 years.
I am a specialist in a range of business sectors, notably retail, property and construction, international supply chains, e-commerce and import/export.
I have extensive experience assisting companies in navigating the complexities of VAT with particular emphasis on companies setting up and trading in the UK and from the UK into Europe. I am skilled at mitigating VAT liabilities and identifying cash-saving opportunities from all stages of business development, from initial registration to business restructuring and trading internationally.
With over 20 years’ experience advising clients I am now head of the firm’s audit department. My expertise spans both external and internal auditing along with the preparation of financial statements, as well as general business advice.
I act for a portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors including property, technology, media, professional practices and hospitality. Much of my work includes strategic business and commercial advice to owner managed entities.
I have helped clients grow their businesses, make financial efficiencies and also provide tax planning advice. Having joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1998.
I joined HW Fisher in 2003, becoming a partner in 2009.
I am the firm’s Managing Partner, working with the Leadership Team and Partners to help provide clients with the expert, personable advice that HW Fisher is known for.
I am ultimately responsible for the leadership, operations and strategic direction of the firm. A key part of my role includes shaping the culture of the firm, a responsibility I take very seriously – I strive to create a workplace where all employees, whatever level they may be at, have a voice that is listened to.
I have over 25 years’ experience in accounting, auditing and due diligence for commercial clients. Throughout my career I have worked with a range of corporate clients and not for profit organisations, building up a comprehensive understanding of the wide range of accounting, taxation and governance issues in the private and public sectors. I have always been sector agnostic and have had clients in property, software, retail and media which has given me a wide variety of experience. I led the firm’s not-for-profit group for more than a decade and hold the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting.
Along with my management team, I have a clear vision for the future and an ambitious growth plan, centred upon the strong heritage and core values of delivering a high degree of expertise and a personalised, partner-led service to all clients.
