My role as technical principal requires me to maintain a detailed knowledge of the changing requirements which apply to accounting and auditing.
I sit on the firm’s Technical Committee and communicate technical developments across a wide range of areas. By understanding the reasons for changes to regulatory requirements as they come into force, I can provide advice to the partners and staff within the firm as and when needed.
Issues can arise with clients of all sizes, particularly where there are difficulties in interpretation. I take a pragmatic approach to resolving these matters.
I have nearly 40 years’ experience as an accountant and joined H W Fisher in 1989.
