I am a Principal in the accounts department. I assist small start-up businesses, sole traders, partnerships and corporate entities across various industries with their VAT, accounting and tax requirements. I have a special interest in looking after authors, journalists, literary/talent agencies, entertainers and broadcasters.
Increasing legislative complexity has a heavy impact on small, family-owned businesses and part of my role is to help my clients understand the compliance matters they face. While tax planning is crucial to family-owned businesses, it can get overlooked easily by business owners whose priority is to manage and run a profitable business. I always look out for tax planning opportunities when serving my clients.
I am also keen on advising my clients on cloud accounting packages and assessing suitable packages for the size and type of their business.
I take an active role in training the trainee accountants in my department and am keen on guiding them in developing their professional career.
