I have been at the firm for more than 17 years and work predominantly in the Business Solutions team, which is primarily responsible for accounting and co-sourcing. I qualified as an ACCA in 2009 and, since then, have been fortunate enough to work with partners whose mentorship and guidance have given me ample opportunities to progress within the firm and make a marked difference in how my team and I operate.
While I have been involved with providing services for numerous clients across the board (from manufacturers of eco-friendly cleaning products and garments, construction companies, restaurants, consultancies, research and development, as well as high street small retail businesses), my main focus is to assist with setting up their accounting systems and supporting their day-to-day operational processes which range from bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, statutory accounts, as well as the preparation of tax computations.
My role involves providing clients with a CFO service with advance management reporting which is customised to individual client needs, giving them in-depth insights on the performance of their respective businesses, as well as highlighting any issues which could potentially hamper their growth and profitability.
I am also involved in training, mentoring and providing accounting expertise to junior members within the team, and encouraging them to further develop their career paths to ensure they’re set up for success in the future. It is an element of the role that probably gives me the most satisfaction, as their success is a direct reflection on both the firm and my immediate professional reputation.
